As The Voice Australia begins to wrap up its eighth season, Delta fans are eager to know if she will be performing a new song ahead of the live finale on July 7th. As the rumors spread about whether or not she will be performing a “new” song, we decided to take a look back at all of her albums and (try to) rank them from worst to best. With that said, Delta doesn’t have a “worst” or “bad” album, so this list was especially hard to compile.

6.) “I Honestly Love You”

We were hesitant to include this album since it’s technically the soundtrack to the two-part mini-series Olivia Newton-John: Hopelessly Devoted to You, where Delta portrays a young Olivia and her shot to fame as well as her long career in the music industry. However, the music (all covers) is definitely worth checking out if you are a Delta fan. We were hoping some of the songs would be “updated” with more of a modern twist, but Olivia fans will be pleased to know the songs stay true to their original form.

5.) “Mistaken Identity”

You have to understand that we didn’t become Delta fans until much later into her career. Unfortunately, she was unable to crack the US and we somehow managed to go years without discovering her. We are SO thankful that we did and sad that we didn’t get to experience this album during its time. With that being said, this album is less familiar/played than some of her most recent works. This is why we are ranking this album at #5. It is piano heavy, which showcases Delta’s musical ability, and her vocals are strong here. Delta sings from her heart and touches the souls of her listeners with solid lyrics, graceful melodies, and beautiful vocals. Our favorites from this album include:
“Out Of The Blue”
“Be Strong”
“Almost Here”
“Mistaken Identity”

4.) “Innocent Eyes”

This is Delta’s debut album and it does not disappoint. Most hardcore Delta fans will argue that this is her best piece of work. I have a feeling that if we had been exposed to this album when it was released, it would easily be #1. Every song on this album is a standout with little to no fillers. The lyrics, mostly co-written by Delta herself, are beautiful, and the melodies paint a picture of bliss. Our favorites include:
“Born To Try”
“Not Me, Not I”
“Lost Without You”

3.) “Delta”

Delta’s third album “Delta” is a departure from her first two albums in sound, but she stays true to her roots. She explores different styles such as folk-pop and rock, but there are also piano ballads (Delta at her best) in which she shines. The first single released from the album, “In This Life” is an almost perfect pop/rock song which showcases her strong vocals and has a super catchy chorus. We ranked this album #3 because while her previous two albums are better in quality, this album, in our opinion, has held up better. Our favorites include:
“Believe Again”
“In This Life”
“I Can’t Break It To My Heart”
“Brave Face”

2.) “Child Of The Universe”

We discovered Delta during this era and so it holds a special place in our hearts. This album is full of gems, including the first single, “Sitting On Top Of The World”, a summer bop which showcases Delta’s vocal ability backed with an infectious beat. “Wish You Were Here” is an emotional piece that she wrote about a friend who unexpectedly passed away. With haunting lyrics and a melody that tugs at your heart strings, this song is a fitting tribute to anyone who has lost someone. Our other favorites include:
“The Speed Of Life”
“Dancing With A Broken Heart”

1.) “Wings of the Wild”

After a four-year hiatus, Delta returned in 2016 with her fifth studio album “Wings of the Wild.” To date, this is our favorite Delta album as there are no fillers. Every song stands on its own. Delta continues to shine with incredible vocals, emotional ballads, and catchy hooks. It’s one of those rare albums where we can listen all the way through without skipping a track. Very rare these days. Our favorites from this album are:
“Dear Life”
“Hold On”
“The River”

It was honestly difficult to rank the albums because she has, and continues to put out quality music. If you have not listened to her albums, we encourage you to check them out. You will not be disappointed. Hopefully it won’t be a long wait before we can add another album to this list. Fingers crossed! What are your favorite Delta albums / songs? Let us know on twitter!
